My nickname, it's Millie (from Amelia). My blog consists of things that I like, things of interest, things I'm passionate about, and sometimes how I feel at any given moment. I breathe: art, design, music, food, movies/tv shows (die hard horror and science fiction fan, but you wouldn't know that judging from my blog), fashion, Old Hollywood, and some current/recent actors and actresses.

The “crawlers” were designed to resemble Nosferatu from the film of the same name. They also had huge white eyes to begin with but this idea was done away with because they looked too silly. It took three and a half hours in makeup to transform an actor into a “crawler.” They had to shave off their body hair as well.

Psycho was the first American film ever to show a toilet flushing on screen.

Screenwriter Joseph Stefano was obsessed with showing a flushing toilet on film for the first time, but Alfred Hitchcock would only allow it if there was a reason in the script - hence the scene where Marion Crane needs to destroy written evidence of her theft.
